NEATA YOUTH WORKSHOP – Sønderborg, Denmark July 2012 This workshop will contain, as maybe always in theatre, the balancing of process and result. In a short amount of time (8 days) we’re going to create a performance based on our own experiences and notions of ”Culture crossing borders, theatre crossing borders”. |
||
As we have no script while starting we’re going to work out from a theme, creating all actions and situations, words, sceneries, sound and visual effects, in what most theatre people would call ”a devised process”. We’re going to prepare this work: personal and intellectual. For example by sharing our stories (and others) with each other, in a closed Facebook group, along with reading inspiring literature and dramas reflecting borders, border conflicts, borderline mentality under the head theme: Borderlessness. It is expected from everyone participating in the workshop to act in the performance. It is also expected that everyone in the workshop participates in the overall producing of the performance. As the workshop leader I will be the overall director of the performance helping every one developing their part and their theatre skills.

At Teater Ibsen in Norway, he did the controversial and Hedda Price nominated performance Tillfellet Torgersen, and at Malmö Stadsteater in Sweden, a critical acclaimed version of Roberto Zucco. 2007-2008 he was artistic director for Teater Momentum in Odense.
